Forever 21 announced on Tuesday that customers who shopped in certain stores this year may have had their credit-card information stolen.
On Tuesday, the USA clothing retailer said that the company recently received a tip from a third-party that there "may have been unauthorized access to data from payment cards" at a number of Forever 21 outlets. Right now, Forever 21 doesn't know how far the breach extends, but an investigation is underway with the help of an unnamed "leading security and forensics firm".
Card transactions made at stores between March 2017 to October 2017 may have been affected.
Forever 21 operates more than 815 stores in 57 countries including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Japan, India, Latin America and Philippines. Because the investigation is continuing, complete findings are not available, and it is too early to provide further details on the investigation.
