  • Missing teen's body was in Subway restaurant for two weeks

Found in an "advanced state of decomposition" at the mall's food court area on December 21, the body was identified on Wednesday as 19-year-old Georgia State University sophomore student Silling A. Man from Lawrenceville, according to the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner's Office.

Police said there was no missing person's report filed over her last disappearance. Two days later she was removed from missing persons before disappearing again. Man was a psychology major that had been enrolled for the Fall 2017 semester but had not yet registered for Spring classes.

Man's cause of death has not yet been released, but officials have confirmed her body was in an 'advanced state of decomposition, ' the Gwinnett Daily Post reports.

Family members said they had not had any contact with her since her second disappearance, and investigators uncovered that she visited her previous place of employment at the Perimeter Mall to pick up her last paycheck around November 20.

Man was found by a maintenance worker checking a vacant area of the mall. It's believed she died about two weeks before her body was found.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported this week that 19-year-old student was reported missing October 8, only to disappear two days later after returning home the first time.

After discovering Man's body, Atlanta Journal-Constitution also spoke to the Gwinnett County commissioner Jace Brooks who said, "It's probably not a great reflection of the current private owners of the mall".

As of now, authorities were looking into Man's activities and acquaintances to find out what led to her untimely death. The public was asked to call Gwinnett detectives at 404 577-8477.
