India, China Will Soon Have A Hotline: Army Chief Bipin Rawat

Social media and government schools in Jammu and Kashmir are spreading a "disinformation campaign" resulting in radicalisation of youth, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat claimed on Friday, and called for "some control" over mosques and madrasas in the state.

Expressing displeasure over Gen Rawat's comment, Mr Bukhari said everyone was passing comments on education sector which was not acceptable.

In schools, there can be seen two maps - one of India another of Jammu and Kashmir.

"I don't think any society accepts sermons on education from non-academicians", Bukhari told the media on Saturday.

"The system of education there needs to be given a relook". "Education is subject on State list and this is not on the concurrent list and falls well within the domain of the State", the minister said. The basic grassroot problem lies here - the way the education system in government schools in J&K has been corrupted. "We are confident we will be able to handle the situation", he said.Rawat said China has been keeping its troops in north Doka La.He said India is dealing with China at different levels including through diplomatic engagement. "So I think some control has to be exercised there", he said.

Jurgen Klopp delighted that Liverpool can 'win ugly'
Liverpool FC will take on Manchester City at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. They thrashed 10-man Liverpool 5-0 in the reverse fixture at the Etihad early in the season.

On combating terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, General Rawat asserted, "We may have neutralised several terrorists but we have also caught 39 of them alive because we wanted to give them a second chance". I have a boss, who is the chief minister (Mehbooba Mufti). "If she finds any reasons for the improvement in the system, she can pinpoint and order for corrective measures as well", added J&K's Education Minister.

He said the army to concentrate on his own affairs and also mentioned the army can not have a control over everything as India is a democratic country.

He said trespassing the defined mandates tantamount to committing brazen injustice with duties assigned to people by the constitution. Let them do their responsibility, I don't think separatism will be anywhere.

Bukhari said that his department's priorities include plugging the loopholes, if any, in the education system and significant success has been achieved on that front. Then there should be a map of every state. "This is totally unwarranted and unacceptable", Bukhari remarked.
