Netflix has revealed the the 10-episode first season of Lost in Space will premiere on Friday, April 13.
Lost in Space is a Netflix Original dramatic and modern reimagining of the classic 1960's science fiction series.
Much like the original, the Netflix series tells the story of the Robinson family, one of many selected to fly off and colonize a new world in Earth's future. "When this world can no longer serve that objective, another planet, another colony, another chance, the rest of human history begins - now".
Molly Parker, Toby Stephens, Max Jenkins, Taylor Russell and Mina Sundwall are also in the cast. Stranded alongside two strangers, everyone is forced to work together in order to survive in this alien and potentially unsafe new environment. We hear the iconic line "Danger, Will Robinson" at the end of the teaser, but it sounds ominous and not almost as human as the Robot of the earlier series.

AirPlay 2 allows multi-room audio and the ability to stream music to multiple sources simultaneously. Personally, this is super disappointing as I've been really enjoying AirPlay 2 in prior betas.
Stranded along with the Robinsons are two outsiders who find themselves thrown together by circumstance and a mutual knack for deception.
Beyond the first glimpse at footage and photos, Netflix announced another telling detail about the series: Lost in Space won't be available for viewing until April 13 - unless you happen to live in space. The unsettlingly charismatic Dr. Smith (Posey) is a master manipulator with an inscrutable end game.
The Robinson family, part of a highly trained mission to establish a new COLONY in space, is unexpectedly pulled off course forcing them to crash land on a lost planet.
Now, nearly 53 years after the original series broadcast in 1965, Netflix has brought Lost in Space back, and we have the scoop on the series.
