The Boston Bruins are going for it.

A 2018 first-round draft pick, defense prospect Ryan Lindgren and forwards Ryan Spooner and Matt Beleskey are included in the package headed to NY. However, the parameters of the deal required a third team to participate due to salary cap implications similar to those that held up the Derek Brassard to Pittsburgh trade.

New York Rangers goal-scoring winger Rick Nash is getting shipped off to Boston.

Stay tuned to Murphy's Hockey Law and CLNSmedia.com for updates on this potential blockbuster deal!

Nash, 33, has scored 434 goals in his career and has made six All-Star appearances.

In 73 playoff games over the last five years, Nash had 38 points, and in the last three regular seasons his point production dropped off - 102 points in 187 games.

In 39 games for the Bruins this season, Spooner has nine goals and 16 assists.

Beleskey was waived by the Bruins in December and is playing for Providence in the AHL.

Lindgren is a 2016 second round draft pick now in his second season at the University of Minnesota. Beleskey still has two years at $3.8 million per season left on his deal after this season.
