  • Alabama guard Collin Sexton gets set against LSU guard Daryl Edwards earlier this season

Kentucky, Missouri and Florida are each sitting at 8-7 with games to play. I said 'guys, let's go loose and go have some fun.' Proud of them.

"We wanted to attack the glass", Arkansas coach Mike Anderson said.

The Razorbacks' win drops Bama out of the six-team logjam for third place. Sexton was 0 of 4 from the floor - all 3-point attempts - until the final minute when he finished a tough layup over Daniel Gafford.

The freshman point guard sat out Alabama's season opener against Memphis on November 10 after he was a part of the same FBI investigation. "I thought I played like trash in the first half". Leadoff man Cobie Vance began the game with a double to left to put himself in scoring position, and two outs later a walk and a hit-by-pitch for the Tide loaded the bases.

"If I had the opportunity, I was going to take advantage of it", Harper said. Alabama still hasn't led but it's been tied twice.

Dustin Thomas made two foul shots for the Razorbacks with 32 seconds left.

-Arkansas 19, Alabama 16 (8:00): Arkansas had gone 4:30 without points.

The second half hasn't been too kind to Alabama of late.

The Razorbacks threatened to blow the game open a couple of times in the first half, but after taking a 16-7 lead they went nearly five minutes without scoring because they were finding ways to turn it over rather than score.

Missed free throws, defensive lapses, 18 turnovers, a lack of rebounding and another perplexing slow start added up to a 76-73 loss, the Crimson Tide's third in a row at a critical time of year.

- Alabama 41, Arkansas 37 (16:11): Alabama tied it at 36 with a Dazon Ingram 3.

Avant continued the trend from the first two innings, beginning the bottom of the third with a double of his own.

- Arkansas jumped to a 7-0 lead.

In fact, Bailey had scored all of seven points in his last eight games played. "I'm just looking forward to every game to prove to everybody what I'm capable of doing". In a five-minute span, they lost the ball four times. With 1:34 remaining and Arkansas clinging to a 71-66 lead, the referees made a questionable charging call against Jaylen Barford (10 points) on a drive into the lane. A Collin Sexton turnover gave the ball back to Arkansas, but Alabama's defense forced a shot clock violation with 52 seconds to play.

Thomas, again, found himself in early foul trouble on Saturday and played just three minutes in the first half. Sexton knocked down both free throws to make it 71-68. While some players allegedly received thousands and thousands of dollars, Sexton was accused of allowing someone to buy him a meal. It made him 26 of 27 on the year and 56 of 61 for his career. Hall proceeded to miss both free throws and the Hogs were able to escape with a big win. A 3 then made it 16-7.

The Crimson Tide added one more run in the eighth inning to make it and held on to complete the sweep by a score of 9-3. The drought lasted 4 minutes and 50 seconds.

- Arkansas 11, Alabama 4 (15:01): The Razorbacks are getting it in the paint and scoring quickly. The series included a steal and a behind-the-back assist from Macon. John Petty hit his second 3 of the game a minute ago.

Arkansas improved it to a 14-4 run to give the Razorbacks their largest lead of the game, 10 points, 33-23.

Midway through the second half he shot-faked a Crimson Tide defender into the floor seats and smoothly canned a 17-footer.

Arkansas: Has won five of its last six games and rebounded from an 87-72 loss to Kentucky.

Next, Arkansas returns home on Tuesday, as the Razorbacks host the No. 12 Auburn Tigers at 8 p.m. on SEC Network.
