Norway's Marit Bjørgen secured the eighth Winter Olympic Games gold medal of her career as she eased to a dominant victory in the women's 30 kilometres mass start classic race at Pyeongchang 2018 today.
The most decorated Winter Olympian of all time finished nearly two minutes ahead of Finland's Krista Pärmäkoski.
She's one of two cross-country skiers to have multiple Olympic medals in the 30km.
Bjoergen, who previously said this was her final Olympic race, finished her career with 15 medals, leaving her as the most decorated Winter Olympian in history.
Bjoergen's emotions got the better of her as she crossed the line and the most successful Winter Olympic athlete of all time explained that she was thinking of her young son as she did so.
