Continuing Nokia's confusing naming tradition, HMD Global has decided not to change their names.
HMD chief executive Florian Seiche said the company wanted to "create a unique identity for the brand" and the range of new devices was to "expand and refresh" the Nokia portfolio.
HMD also announced the Nokia 8110 4G, a reimagined version of the popular 1996 "banana phone" with a slide cover protecting its physical T9 keyboard.
The NewNokia 6 is probably going to be familiar. It comes in Yellow and Black color options.
While it was inspired by another era, the 8110 has all the modern features you'd expect from a phone that costs €79. For starters, the processor has now been upgraded to Snapdragon 630, a chip that's known for its power efficiency. There is 512MB of RAM and 4GB of expandable storage. To that end it uses Android Go - the cut-down version of Android created to run on systems with 1GB RAM or lower - and promises a pure Android experience with monthly security updates. The highlight of the affordable smartphone is that it runs Android Oreo (Go Edition).
The Nokia 8 is the company's flagship phone, priced at 749 euros (A$1174) and created to compete with Samsung's and Huawei's premium models.
Police respond to "major incident" in Leicester, England
Another local said: 'Hearing there has been a gas explosion around the Hinckley Road area of #Leicester hope everyone is ok'. She added that the affected property was a two floor building with a loft conversion that had suffered a "pancake collapse".
Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6737M quad-core clocked at 1.1GHz and comes coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
It is a feature phone, meaning it only runs a small number of apps on its Kai operating system. The device measures 133.6 x 67.78 x 9.5 mm and weighs 131 grams. The smartphone is fueled by a removable 2,150mAh battery claimed to offer a full day's juice with normal usage.
At official Press event at MWC 2018 in Barcelona, Nokia introduced this more compact durable body successor of Nokia 6. It steps up with the latest Snapdragon 660 mobile platform but retains the 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage memory configuration. According to Nokia, the latest Nokia 6 will be priced at a global average of €279, making it a pretty solid contender in the mid-range market. During the event, the company said that HMD Global is now the leading feature phone brand across the globe and even shipped 70 million Nokia devices in 2017. Partially since the hardware is powerful on its own, but also thanks to the pure Android build Nokia includes that's based on Android 8.0 Oreo.
The company has also added its professional camera features which used to to be a major feature with the Lumia handsets.
The smartphone has 12/13MP dual rear camera with ZEISS optics and 2x optical zoom. For selfies, the device comes equipped with a 16MP front-facing camera. It has a fingerprint scanner located at the rear along with a dual camera setup at the back. On the front, there's a 6in IPS LCD full HD+ display with a 2160x1080 resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Reports suggest the front bezels might be thinner, albeit just slightly.
In terms of specs, the Nokia 8110 4G touts a 2.4in QVGA curved display and a 2MP rear camera. However, the box will include a 3.5mm to USB-C dongle.
