Jordan Barnett is suspended for the Tigers opening round NCAA Tournament game on Friday.

A spokesman for the University of Missouri Police Department announced Barnett was arrested at 3:26 a.m. local time for failure to drive in a single lane and suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The No. 8 seed Missouri Tigers will take on the No. 9 seed Florida State Seminoles this week in the First Round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Barnett won't play against FSU but will be allowed to practice this week and travel with the team to Nashville.

The Tigers go into the tournament as the eighth seed in the West Region.

During Sunday's selection show on CBS, Florida State (20-11) learned it received a No. 9 seed in the West Region. And it's possible he could play if MU advances to most likely take on Xavier, the No. 1 seed pitted against the victor of the North Carolina Central-Texas Southern play-in game. If MU makes it to the second round, Coach Martin said Barnett could be available to play.

The Tigers have been shredded by the three-point shot in recent weeks, so they'll need to make sure they get a hand up in Cofer's face when he launches it from long range.

Florida St starts a smaller lineup with two 6'8 guys followed by 6'5, 6'4 and 6'1 front court. Mizzou added Michael Porter Jr.to the mix after the former 5-star returned from a back injury he suffered in the first game of the season. "I don't know about that". The Gators could do nothing to help or hinder their NCAA Tournament seeding. "We get another chance".

When he inherited the core of a team coming off three miserable years, Martin didn't initially think the Tigers could reach these milestones - 20 wins, fourth place in the SEC, NCAA Tournament at-large bid - but he became a believer over time, even while roster turnover gutted his rotations. A one-week punishment would leave Barnett eligible to return for the second round on Sunday should the Tigers advance. "You'll be the team that turned it around", said Martin.
