  • Shooting at Bliss Enterprises in Plant City, multiple victims

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department homicide detectives are investigating a shooting at Bliss Enterprises on Knights Griffin Road in Plant City.

Those sources say one person is being held in the case, but we do not know if that's the suspect of if the person is simply being held for questioning.

"Upon hearing the shooting, a family member came into the office and shot Mr. Bliss", Lusczynski said.

Authorities say a man was fatally shot at a Florida business after he shot and wounded two other men.

According to initial reports, at least two or three people have been shot, but there was no immediate word on their conditions.

The victims, ages 44 and 45, were transported to a hospital. One was reported to be in critical condition and the other in stable condition.

One of the men was living on the property as a tenant and had an ongoing dispute with Bliss that involved him being asked to vacate the premises several times in the recent past, Colonel Donna Lusczynski explained in a Monday press conference.

Deputies from Hillsborough and Polk counties arrived and found Bliss dead.

Then Bliss took out a gun and shot both men, deputies said. It was not known if the person who shot Bliss will face criminal charges.

Bliss Enterprises is a family owned construction company that has been building barns since 1982.
