Muthalik cleared in 2009 pub attack case
About the accused who were acquitted on Monday, Karandlaje said, "They were in jail for six years without any reason". However, in 2010, Muthalik said that the attack was a "big mistake" as it had affected his group's reputation.

"Police are investigating the content of the letters to identify any potential links". "Two people - a man and a woman - have been taken to a central London hospital as a "precaution", The Independent reports citing London's Metropolitan Police as saying".

Specialist officers investigated the package and found it was not hazardous, a parliamentary spokesperson later said.

The office of opposition Labour MP Mohammad Yasin received the item, while he was not in the room, according to a member of his staff. There has been no evacuation, but the affected area has been cordoned off. Access to the building is otherwise unaffected.

A source said they were anxious it was linked to the sick "Punish a Muslim Day" letters which The Sun revealed were being posted out last week.
