Scamander had helped capture Grindelwald for the Magical Congress of the United States of America, but the wizard escapes and sets off recruiting followers to help enable pure-blood wizards rule the world. Rowling and Yates have also come under fire for their handling of fan concerns over the casting of Depp who in 2016 was accused by his ex-wife Amber Heard of physical assault; she was granted a restraining order against him. The trailer also gives us our first glimpses of Jude Law as a youthful Albus Dumbledore, who seems to be working behind the scenes with Newt to fight Grindelwald. The adventure reunites Newt with Tina, Queenie and Jacob, but his mission will also test their loyalties as they face new perils in an increasingly unsafe and divided wizarding world. He made his franchise debut with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 2007 and was behind the two-part finale Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hits theaters November 16. Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them took us back to the early days of the Wizarding World before Voldemort rose to power and The Boy Who Lived challenged his villainy. However, the teaser did reveal a social media campaign where Warner Bros is asking all Potterheads to get their #WandsReady.
