Cierra Dillard scored a career-high 36 points and Buffalo got its first women's NCAA Tournament victory as it defeated South Florida, 102-79.

The Huskies once again are the prohibitive favorites to win the national championship, and they began their quest for a 12 title with a record-setting performance Saturday afternoon. Yes, 94 points in one half, and, yes, 140 total points.

According to Sports Illustrated, UConn's "88-point win is the second largest in history in either the men's or women's tournament".

At press time, the Huskies were well on their way to passing the all-time single-game scoring record for women's Division I hoops. U-Conn. only needed regulation to set the record.

The victor of that game will celebrate, and then have to face the undefeated Huskies. They've won their opening-round games by an average of just over 42 points.

The UConn women's basketball team shattered multiple records in their 140-52 victory over 16th-seeded Saint Francis (Pa.) on Saturday. The record was set two years ago in the first round when the Huskies scored 41 against Robert Morris.

STORRS, Conn. - Jen Fay led a balanced ninth-seeded Quinnipiac offense with 19 points and the Bobcats beat Miami, eliminating the Hurricanes from the women's NCAA Tournament for a second consecutive season, 86-72. At this point, there most likely isn't a team that can take down the Huskies. There isn't a clear answer, but with Auriemma at the helm and the influx of talent year after year, why waste it?
