Will Dez Bryant let vendetta against Cowboys stop move to Ravens?

  • Will Dez Bryant let vendetta against Cowboys stop move to Ravens?

Bryant noted that the fact that Jones did not even broach the subject of a pay cut reinforced his belief that other factors were at play in the decision to cut him loose, particularly with the owner stressing what a hard personal decision it was for him.

The Baltimore Ravens are interested in free agent wide receiver Dez Bryant, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports. Seeing the Rams quickly become an attractive team for players to join with their increased odds to win the Super Bowl has been truly fantastic to witness, but when it comes to Dez Bryant, this is a move that seems unnecessary to even consider.

Bryant is very specific here. Now, what's stopping teams from placing all 11 players in the box to try and suffocate the run?

If Dallas can snag one of these top wideouts, it could provide them a potential long-term answer in place of Bryant that may have the chance to develop into the team's top receiving option down the line. Fans would feel better if they felt as though the organization has a plan, but if there's one thing we've learned in the 23 years stuck in the muck of mediocrity: this team rarely ever has a plan.

Daryl Worley Is Released By The Eagles After Being Arrested
While at West Virginia, Worley pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault in 2014 after an incident at a nightclub. Philadelphia did not absorb a financial penalty by cutting Worley and saved $670,000 against the salary cap.

And unpopular opinion, it was the right move. The year after, star quarterback Tony Romo suffered yet another injury. In his place, rookie QB Dak Prescott came in and led the Cowboys to the playoffs, but he did so without leaning on Dez. Prescott is surely fully aware that in his two years in Dallas, Bryant's production took a steep decline. Without his favorite pass being thrown to him, Bryant became more of a burden than a benefit.

Bryant, 29, was cut by the Cowboys, who opted not to pay him his $12.5 million salary for 2018.

The reality all along was that he'd be getting one, whether he wanted one or not. Even if he doesn't sign with a team that will be playing the Cowboys, he'll quite possibly be complaining about the team wherever and whenever he can.
