Searchers have found the body of a 12-year-old boy, the last missing member of an Indian family of four which perished when their sports utility vehicle plunged into a swollen river in the USA state of California some 11 days ago.

An inter-agency search and rescue team has recovered two more bodies of an Indian American family who were feared drowned in a California river some 10 days ago, U.S. officials said on Tuesday.

Searchers on the Eel River in Leggett, Calif., on Sunday recovered the submerged bodies of Sandeep Thottapilly, 41, and his daughter, Saachi, 9, the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office said in a statement on Monday. Earlier, speaking to TNM, Sandeep's paternal aunt, who also lives in Surat, had said that the couple's friends and relatives had launched a search operation to find the family.

The bodies of his father and 9-year-old sister were found inside the submerged vehicle on Sunday and his mother's body was found last Friday.

The Thottapilly family, from Santa Clarita, disappeared on April 6 while driving in a Honda Pilot through the Redwood Coast Highway on vacation, officials said.
