"We invite all to receive a Hero's Welcome in Jacksonville, NC where you will find no shortage of service flags flying proudly".

Employees at the business said a customer overheard Power issuing the warning, which told the business to correct the violation or risk "prosecution for the offense".

According to witnesses, that began a tense exchange between Power and the veteran, with Power allegedly questioning what the customer had done for his country.

"She says, 'What did you do for this country?' He says, 'I took three bullets to the leg".

"She turned around at the door and said to me, in a very loud voice that, what I did for this country did not matter", he said.

Store managers refused to take down the flags.

The business owner later updated his video to say, "The city of Jacksonville is working with our company to make sure things like this does not happen again". That video attracted an overwhelming amount of attention on social media.
