The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission told Newsweek it is investigating "an incident" that occurred at Forest High School in Marion County involving at least one raccoon and an opossum.

"It made me sick". 'It made me sick to my stomach'. "It's bad. It still does make me sick to my stomach", she said, according to Channel9.

"One of the raccoons ate a chicken that they were raising so the teacher pinned the raccoons".

"When the raccoons tried to come up for air they had metal rods and they held them down with metal rods and when the raccoon would try to pop its head up they held water hoses in its face to drown it", a parent told WKMG, which released a heavily censored clip of the incident in which no animals are visible.

It was on Monday when she says her son, a freshman at Forest High, was made to stand with his fellow classmates and drown two raccoons and a possum.

"Why is he not fighting?" one person in the video says as the raccoon sits in the trap in the trash can filled almost to the brim with water.

She told Kron 4 that Brewton threatened to give a "referral" to any student in the class who recorded or took pictures of the drowning.

Government to take control of East Coast Main Line from Stagecoach Group
The London to Edinburgh service, which runs through Peterborough, will be taken back into public control on June 24. Transport Secretary Chris Grayling is expected to make a statement to parliament shortly.

One parent said her son recorded the video, brought it home, showed it to her and she was "disgusted" by what she saw. So they trapped the animals, and then placed the trapped animals inside a garbage bin filled with water.

Brewton was placed on administrative leave on Tuesday and the incident is being investigated by Marion County Public School officials.

"We received statements that the teacher drowned multiple animals in front of students, and with student participation, because the animals were nuisances to the ag program at the school", spokesman Kevin Christian said. "No teacher could ever replace him", said Hunter Heath.

The FFWCC included that its officers take these matters very seriously and are working hard to "determine the legality of what occurred".

It is unclear whether or not the teacher, who has not yet been identified, will be facing any criminal charges for the incident.

Interestingly, as the Miami Herald noted, alumni members of the Facebook group Forest High School Future Farmers of America (Forest High School FFA Alumni) spoke out in support of Brewton as a dedicated teacher and warned that the media would escalate this story unnecessarily.
