The role of Sanjeev Kumar Yadav needed a person who is physically and mentally strong and John Abraham perfectly fits the bill.

Actor-producer John Abraham has just about wrapped up the shoot for Emmay Entertainment's Satyamev Jayate, but his partnership with the production house is only beginning. Abraham will essay the role of DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, the senior policeman who led the investigation.

Nikkhil Advani made his directorial debut in 2003 with Kal Ho Naa Ho starring Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta. The actor confirmed it too by talking about the character, "We are yet to meet, but I've been devouring all the material on him, and from what I've read, he seems like a humble man with an interesting back story".
