That same year, Julia Roberts went barefoot on the Cannes red carpet.

Kantemir Balagov, Julie Huntsinger, Annemarie Jacir, Virginie Ledoyen and Benicio del Toro at the 71st annual Cannes Film Festival. Instead, she has a spot on the all-important jury alongside Cate Blanchett and Ava DuVernay. But beyond her roles in films, Kristen has grabbed headlines for her sartorial picks.

She posed on the red carpet for the Blackkklansman screening in a stylish pair of black Christian Louboutin stilettos and once her photos were done, she made a decision to take her heels off and walk barefooted on the red carpet.

While she was climbing the stairs the photographers kept taking pictures.

The Twilight actress was seen walking barefoot on the Cannes Film Festival's red carpet in protest against the 'no flats policy'. She went on to say, "Things have to change immediately".
