"Deep Silver today announce that their upcoming release Shenmue III has been moved and will now release in 2019". Hopefully this will be the last delay (in a long line of delays) for the anticipated title, but we strongly recommend that you don't hold your breath though.

Director Yu Suzuki released his own statement on the game's Kickstarter page, as well, expressing his apologies to those who backed the game. "We promise to use this time to improve the quality of Shenmue III". Shadow of the Tomb Raider cost between $75 million and $100 million to develop, according to Eidos Montreal head David Anfossi. After much discussion with our partners, Deep Silver, we have concluded that extending the release will allow us to deliver Shenmue III at its best. Shenmue 3 quickly met that crowdfunding goal, and in the years since then, new information about the game has been only sporadic. Since then, details regarding the RPG have been scarce, with it being pushed from its planned December 2017 release date to the second half of 2018. Give the players what they want! Fans have been waiting for well over a decade for this game to finally release, and these delays being thrown on top of that aren't making anything easier.
