Renowned American chef and TV show personality Anthony Bourdain has died at the age of 61.
According to the Associated Press, prosecutor Christian de Rocquigny said that on Friday, the famous chef, writer, and host of CNN'sParts Unknown, took the belt from his hotel bathrobe to commit suicide. Now, local authorities are reassuring followers there is no reason to believe foul play was involved.
He was the host of CNN's "Parts Unknown", had written a best-seller about his time as a chef, and received countless awards and nominations for his work throughout the late 2000s and 2010s. "But even though we don't know people like Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain personally, because of our familiarity with their products, their shows, we develop some type of relationship with them in some way, so it's very personal".
In 2016, Bourdain spoke with CBS News' Anthony Mason. Many, who wanted to enter the world of culinary arts, had a book written by the celebrity chef. "Money beyond his wildest dreams", she told the Times.
The US-born chef visited the Ivory Tower restaurant, run by Seamus O'Connell, on Princes Street in 2006 for an edition of "The Cook's Tour" on the Food Network.
