The highly anticipated role-playing game from The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red has been in development for quite some time and the ambitious scope of the game has meant we haven't been able to see much of it since its announcement five years ago.

A new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 debuted during Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference, and every frame was packed with information.

The loud electronic soundtrack then plunges into a much darker atmosphere of violence, underground crime, robots and er, very slick cars.

We got our first look at CD Projekt Red's next game - Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a narrative-driven, open world RPG set in the most vibrant and risky metropolis of the future - Night City.

Finally, the letter emphasizes that Cyberpunk 2077 is a "true single player, story-driven RPG".

"When we told you we would only release the game when it's ready, we meant it", explained the team in their cryptic letter hidden in the trailer.
