  • Alec Baldwin mulls 2020 presidential run: ‘If I ran, I would win’

"If I ran for president, I would win. Oprah. Alec Baldwin. And so, it's opened up the possibilities for people who may not be traditional politicians but who are interested".

"If I ran for president, I would win, hands down", Baldwin said, adding his wife has told him she does not want the kind of exposure public office can bring.

Navarro, a Republican strategist and "never Trumper", confessed her preference to CNN host Brooke Baldwin on Tuesday during a segment that centered on Alec Baldwin's recent comment to Howard Stern that he is "1,000 percent" sure he would "absolutely win" if he ever challenged Trump for the presidency.

Baldwin has made headlines since the 2016 election for his impersonation of Trump on "Saturday Night Live".

"It would be the funniest, most exciting, most insane campaign", he added.

One user wrote, "the fact that he is so certain that everyone likes him so much to vote for him to be their president is a testament to the average arrogance of Hollywood actors". "There are so many things that this country needs to do that are so obvious", he said.

"Where are you then?" added Stern, who then mocked Baldwin's game-show hosting duties.

In the very same interview with Howard Stern, the actor also went on to suggest that Donald Trump's meeting with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un was little more than a cover-up to fire special counsel Robert Mueller.
