The FBI agent whose gun went off in a LoDo bar has been arrested and booked on assault charges.

Chase Bishop, 29, is being held in the Downtown Detention Center on suspicion of second-degree assault, according to inmate records on the Denver Sheriff Department website. Bishop was released to an Federal Bureau of Investigation supervisor that night and not arrested.

"Additional charges may be filed based on the results of a pending blood alcohol content analysis", the Denver District Attorney's office said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Denver Police Department responded to Mile High Spirits Distillery on Lawrence Street on the morning of June 2.

Video from the June 3 incident shows Bishop landing a backflip at the Mile High Spirits bar, and reaching down to pick up the weapon that had fallen from his trousers. The firearm went off when he picked it up, and another customer suffered a serious but nonlife-threatening gunshot wound to the lower leg. The video then shows Bishop reach for the gun and allegedly accidentally fire the weapon, hitting another man at the establishment.
