‘Incredibles 2’ Headed for $180 Million-Plus Debut

According to Box Office Mojo, the animated superhero action-adventure is expected to bring in as much as $180 million, if not a little more, for its three-day opening weekend, making it the biggest opening weekend for an animated feature. Either way, "Incredibles 2" will become the animated film with the highest ever opening weekend, beating out 2016's "Finding Dory", which brought in $135 million. "We had a film that had something for all ages".

"Incredibles 2" picks up directly following the events of the original film with the Parr family members attempting to balance having a normal life with their superpowers.

"This is one of the biggest over-performances I've ever seen", said comScore senior media analyst Paul Dergarabedian.
