  • Several injured after ‘minor explosion’ at London tube station

Police were called to Southgate underground station when the "minor" explosion was first reported.

Specialist police and paramedics rushed to Southgate station and commuters were warned to stay away from the area.

Scotland Yard says it was called to a "suspicious package" and a number of people running from the north London station just after 19:00 this evening.

A police cordon surrounds the station and there was still a police presence coming up to 10pm.
