The top seed eased to a 6-0 7-5 6-4 victory against Adrian Mannarino in the fourth round to extend his run of consecutive sets won at the All England Club to 32. Federer also broke, then held to end the match.

"Just the way he moves, the way he conducts himself on the court is very impressive". Federer has such a good game for grass.

"I am excited. It will be a good result for me".

The build-up to playing Federer will be a little quieter.

Lurking on Federer's side of the draw is an intriguing unknown: the unseeded Mackenzie McDonald, who sounds as if he should have drifted down from the Highlands but is in fact a 23-year-old Californian with a solid pedigree and little to lose. It will be Djokovic's 41st appearance in a Grand Slam quarterfinal and he will start favorite against Nishikori who will be in his first last-eight at the All England Club.

French tennis ace Gael Monfils remains hopeful that he will win a Grand Slam title before he calls it a career. But the tournament marked a step forward for each.

"The overall goal is try to win the tournament".

"It was an important victory as since 2011 I have not been in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon".

"I'm more concerned the World Cup final will have issues because the Wimbledon final is going on."
He was gifted a first-week stroll as pleasant as a walk on Wimbledon Common and begins the fourth round on Centre Court at 1pm against Adrian Mannarino.

His play already has fans and commentators dreaming of another final between Nadal and Roger Federer - on the 10th anniversary of their five-set classic that the Spaniard won.

It was tennis for the gluttonous: a feast. And none has lost a set in the tournament.

Federer was in blinding form during the first set, which blazed by in 16 minutes, but after the Swiss missed four break points in the opening game of the second set, Mannarino made more of a match of it. Federer made it sound as though the mental part of the game is the only challenge he has at the moment.

American ninth seed John Isner also reached his first Wimbledon quarter-final with a 6-4, 7-6 (10/8), 7-6 (7/4) win over Greek teenager Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Clearly dejected, Mannarino said afterward that he wasn't rattled by the Centre Court spotlight or the size of the crowd. "The only different thing", he said, "is that it's Federer in front of me". He served 12 aces and no double faults. Along with his 44 winners (to Mannarino's 18), all are hallmarks of a player in full command.

"I'm very pleased to be back in the second week".

Nadal has some hard work ahead of him.

Below is a breakdown of each draw and a look at the four players with the best chances to advance to the men's and women's finals. "I knew we were both moms, and I'm not sure how often that's happened, if ever". He next faces No. 13 Milos Raonic, who defeated Mackenzie McDonald of the USA 6-3, 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-2.

While the men get Tuesday off at Wimbledon, the women return for their quarterfinals. Williams path to Saturday's championship, and another Grand Slam title, looks more certain with every round.

Federer boasts a 4-0 career record against 2017 US Open runner-up Anderson and 9-4 over Monfils.
