Hollywood rapper Cardi B (name: Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar) has filed a countersuit against her ex-manager who tried to create a rift between her relationship with her rapper husband Offset (name: OKiari Kendrell Cephus).

Heavily pregnant American female rapper Cardi B has filed a $15 million countersuit against estranged manager Klenord "Shaft" Raphael. The Invasion of Privacy rapper is suing her ex-manager for over $15 million citing that he was overbearing in regards to her career and personal life, specifically with her dating Offset.

Her legal team have also stated that Raphael's companies, KSR and WorldStar, failed to give Cardi B a full accounting of her funds.

"Shaft conceived, arranged and orchestrated Cardi B's rise to become the biggest music sensation on the planet". Raphael claims that, after discovering Cardi B, signing her and recording her, he was cut off from his 20 percent cut of her revenue once she saw success. "Despite having a fiduciary duty as a manager to act in Ms. Almanzar's best interest with undivided loyalty, Shaft himself and through his entities took advantage of Ms. Almanzar's trust and naiveté and persuaded her to sign contracts and to enter deals in which Shaft attempted to take an unreasonable and unconscionable portion of Ms. Almanzar's earnings in the entertainment industry for himself". Almanzar is Cardi B's real name.

Cardi B claims her ex-manager was too intrusive.

He continued: 'While he is proud of their successful collaborations as she evolved from Instagram influencer to music megastar, Shaft is disappointed by her actions to freeze him out of her career, which are detailed in the complaint'. Shaft allegedly tried to manage who she could or could not see. Leonard is listed as a co-writer on Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow".

Cardi B is not taking the lawsuit from her ex-manager lying down.

Raphael is seeking at least $10 million damages through the suit.
