  • GETTY FILMMAGICRudy Guiliani said London Mayor Sadiq Khan should focus more on crime in London than President Trump

Khan has criticized Trump repeatedly over the president's political views, saying earlier this year that Trump is "not welcome" in London.

The US Embassy in London issued the alert ahead of Trump's arrival on Thursday after attending a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit.

Trump will arrive in Britain on 12 July for a "working visit", a more sober affair than the original plan for a state visit with its customary pomp and pageantry after it drew threats of mass protests.

And with a giant "Trump Baby" balloon set to fly in the air over multiple demonstrations, USA officials urged Americans to "keep a low profile" in the English capital.

Some 50,000 people are expected to attend a protest against Trump's visit on Friday (July 13)-just one of several demonstrations that organizers have promised will be a "carnival of resistance."

The biggest protest will take place in central London on Friday where thousands are expected to take to the streets to join the "Stop Trump" march.

"Numerous demonstrations are being planned for July 12 to 14, 2018, surrounding the visit of the President of the United States to the United Kingdom", the U.S. embassy said in the alert on its website.

For people more excited to see the blimp than the man, here's where to spot the 'Trump Baby', and when.

US President Donald Trump is set to land in London on Thursday for a three-day visit to the UK.

"Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings that may become violent", the embassy said in a list of advised actions, asking Americans to "keep a low profile" and "be aware of your surroundings".

The Donald Trump baby balloon will be going on a "world tour" after Trump's United Kingdom visit concludes, Newsweek is reporting. In an effort to prepare and warn Americans ahead of the demonstrations, the US Embassy is encouraging its citizens to take extra precautions.

Activist Leo Murray, the man behind the blimp, said the intention is "to make sure he [Trump] knows that all of Britain is looking down on him and laughing at him".
