  • The duchess dazzled in an emerald green Givenchy dress as she arrived in Ireland

The Duchess of Sussex was the protagonist of a royal blunder on Tuesday evening when she landed at Dublin Airport carrying a bag still sporting wrapping on the protective studs on its underside.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry kicked off their second day in Ireland on Wednesday bright and early.

Since marrying in to the royal family, the new Duchess of Sussex, 36, is expected to be impartial on all political matters - but one Irish politician who was involved in getting abortion made legal tweeted that she was "pleased" with the outcome.

Meghan Markle can be seen in the video above crossing her legs. Meghan paired the look with Paul Andrew heels in black suede, diamond earrings from Birks, and a sleek, center-parted bun.

While seated for the ceremony, the Duchess of Cambridge appeared to catch her husband laughing to himself in an adorable moment that was captured on camera.

The three-term Republican says the Senate has gotten in the bad habit of treating people as "innocent until nominated". Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer promised to opposed Judge Kavanaugh's nomination with everything he has.

The trip will take place over 10-11 July, where the Duke and Duchess will "meet the people of Dublin and will visit organisations which are central to Irish life".

Meghan and Harry have previously broken the rules in public before, with hand-holding and kisses on the head (cute) throughout their engagement, but the couple have also seemed to opt for a more traditional and private approach to romance since their wedding.

Photos from one part of the visit caused a bit of a stir, with many pointing out the ridiculous quantity of water bottles - all 14 of them - laid out for the duke and duchess.

They will also visit Trinity College, the Famine Memorial and the Irish Emigration Museum over the course of their stay. The couple first met with the president of Ireland, Michael Higgins, and his wife, Sabina Coyne, at their residence in Dublin.
