'This was a setup and politically motivated.

CNN has reached out to the Columbus Police Department for more details.

An Ohio law known as the Community Defense Act, passed in 2007, prohibits anyone who is not a family member from touching a nude or semi-nude dancer. We will fight all bogus charges.

She is scheduled to appear in court for an arraignment on Friday.

He said she was arrested inside the club. They are devoting law enforcement resources to sting operations for this?

Daniels, 39, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, was busted at Sirens in Columbus for allegedly allowing patrons to touch her while she performed. He said his client was "performing the same performance that she has conducted at over a hundred strip clubs around the country".

A Columbus police spokeswoman didn't immediately respond to a message seeking comment.

A person who answered the phone at Sirens declined to comment. We also expect that she will be charged with a misdemeanor for allowing 'touching.' We will vehemently contest all charges.

Experts have said that the outlook of the trade war depends on how China responds to the tariffs on its imports. On Wednesday, China's main stock index lost 1.8 per cent and Japan's market benchmark fell 1.1 percent.

The law places a wide range of restrictions, including no naked dancing after midnight, limits on when dancers can touch patrons and which clubs with liquor licenses can continue to stay open despite featuring nude dancing.

A spokesman for the Franklin County Sheriff's office could find no instances in which the 2007 law had been used, he told the Dispatch.

Daniels planned to be in Columbus Wednesday and Thursday as part of a nationwide tour, Avenatti said.

Earlier this week, Daniels performed in Washington minutes before President Donald Trump announced his Supreme Court nomination. He was married to Melania Trump at the time and has denied Daniel's claim.

A defamation lawsuit was also filed in April, alleging the President tried to tarnish her reputation and credibility by dismissing her claim a man threatened her in 2011, when she was ready to go public about her alleged affair with Trump.

Trump's longtime former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, arranged a nondisclosure agreement shortly before the 2016 presidential election and paid Daniels $130,000 to keep quiet about the alleged sexual encounter.
