Liverpool have agreed a £13.75m deal to sign Manchester United target Xherdan Shaqiri with the Stoke City attacker set to undergo his medical on Merseyside today, according to the Daily Mail.

Xherdan Shaqiri is on the verge of completing a £13 million move to Liverpool.

In recent hours Lazio have started to look at Shaqiri as an option to replace Felipe Anderson, who is joining West Ham.

The Reds have made a move for the Swiss star, who is free to leave relegated Stoke if his £13m release clause is activated.

Liverpool FC are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they bid to build a squad capable of challenging for the title next season.

The newspaper says the 26-year-old was keen to work under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield so has snubbed all interest to join Liverpool and will undergo his medical today ahead of his bargain move.

Shaqiri, who was in action at the World Cup this summer with Switzerland, will become Klopp's third signing of the current transfer window.

Jürgen Klopp is signing the former Bayern Munich winger as cover for Sadio Mané and Mo Salah as the Champions League final painfully exposed how little depth the Reds have up front.
