To mark the occasion, the royal family posed for official portraits at Clarence House, home to Charles, Prince of Wales and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall.

Photographer Matt Holyoak took the official photographs at Clarence House.

One woman added, "I would love to see a video of the lengths the photographer had to go to for the photos with the children!"

In the new portrait, the Duchess of Cambridge beams as she holds her third child close.

The fifth-in-line to the throne looked peaceful in Kate's arms in all four portraits, while the typically shy and reserved Prince George had a big smile on his face.

This isn't the first time a member of the royal family missed a christening.

Kate was quoted as saying Louis was "very relaxed and peaceful" during his christening at St. James' Palace in London.

In another, the royals are joined by Catherine's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, sister Pippa Matthews and her husband James, and brother James Middleton.

However it's believed the decision was made not because of health reasons but due to The Queen's hectic upcoming schedule.

Another snapshot shows Kate holding her son, who is wearing a cream-colored dressing gown, in an outdoor setting.

Reproduced by dressmaker to the Queen Angela Kelly, it was worn by his older siblings, George and Charlotte at their christenings.

It was released just half an hour ago, and has already garnered nearly 6,000 "likes" on Twitter and 1.3 lakh "likes" on Instagram.

And these breathtaking new images prove the flawless prince has completed the Cambridge clan.
