The Pittsburgh Pirates won both games of a doubleheader on Saturday, as they beat the Milwaukee Brewers by scores of 2-1 and 6-2.

The Pirates' five-game sweep is the first in the majors since August 18-21, 2006, when the Yankees took five straight from Boston. You can catch all of the action, starting with pregame coverage on WISR 680AM.

Brewers starter Chase Anderson (6-7), who had allowed one run in each of his previous four starts, gave up two on the homers.

Brewers: C Manny Pina (left biceps strain) and OF Ryan Braun (back strain) will be eligible to return from the disabled list after the All-Star break. His first start came during a down stretch for the Pirates.

Luplow homered again to make it 6-0 with two outs in the eighth.

Jesus Aguilar prevented the shutout for Milwaukee with a two-run single in the ninth.

The Brewers were 2-for-7 with runners in scoring position, stranded seven runners and have not held a lead in the series.

Marte and Polanco did their damage early, and it ended up being enough for Pittsburgh. Brett Phillips drove in four runs for the Brewers in the losing effort. Polanco then drove Anderson's 3-2 offering over the wall in right. Richard Rodriguez got the win in relief and Felipe Vazquez his 22nd save. Thames lasted two full innings on the field and went 0-for-1 against the Pirates' Nick Kingham before conceding his spot in the lineup to pinch-hitter/right fielder Hernan Perez in the top of the third.

It was the 14th start of the season in right field for Thames. There is "concern" that C Francisco Cervelli (post-concussive symptoms) might have to move out from behind the plate, general manager Neal Huntington said.

Brewers: RHP Jhoulys Chacin (8-3, 3.78) will look to win a third straight start.

Pittsburgh right-hander Ivan Nova pitched 4 2/3 innings, giving up one run and seven hits, with three strikeouts and no walks.

Pirates: RHP Joe Musgrove (3-4, 3.77) will attempt to carry momentum from his previous two starts.

Guerra yielded six runs, nine hits and two walks in four innings.
