Glass Trailer Coming Soon, Watch The Teaser Now

19 July, 2018, 05:44 | Author: Cecil Buchanan

The full trailer is coming this Friday to kick off San Diego Comic-Con. Not surprisingly, not much, other than a lot of images of shattered glass and a brief recap of James McAvoy's character from writer/director M. Night Shyamalan's 2017 thriller Split (which wound up being a stealth sequel to Shyamalan's superhero origin story Unbreakable from 2000). Glass will more than likely be getting his own teaser trailer tomorrow, if the studio follows the same promotional release schedule from the previous two days. In Glass, the characters played by Willis and Jackson will team up to hunt down McAvoy's character, Crumb, which is an iteration of his personality with superhuman powers called the Beast. M. Night Shyamalan fans had been waiting years to hear about a possible sequel to Unbreakable, and were shocked to learn that it was buried in the conclusion of 2016's Split.

Joining the all-star cast are "Unbreakable's" Spencer Treat Clark and Charlayne Woodard, who reprise their roles as Dunn's son and Price's mother, as well as Golden Globe Award victor Sarah Paulson ('American Horror Story' series). They produce again with Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock, and Steven Schneider, who will executive produce. "Glass" will open in theaters January 18, 2019. Unfortunately, there's not really anything in the way of footage from the film itself here, but it places the focus on James McAvoy's The Beast, last seen in Split, and it's certainly a creepy tease of what's to come.
