PlayStation Japan is now looking for beta testers for the upcoming PS4 firmware update, and it's only a matter of time before Sony Europe and USA will do the same. We still don't really have any clue what the next "big" update will bring, though Sony has promised in the past that it will bring tons of changes to the platform experience in addition to loads of new features.

If you manage to register for the beta test, you will be given a code in the email that will be gradually released to everyone who has applied for the beta test. Until then, you can hit the links to sign up: North America, Japan.

There's not an very bad lot to talk about at this point, other than you can put your name down for the beta in the US, Europe, and Japan. It also usually doesn't reveal what these new features are until sometime after the registration has been closed.
