Barcelona Football Club on Monday announced it has signed Chile global, Arturo Vidal, from German side, Bayern Munich, on a 3 year contract.

The 31-year-old joined the Catalan giants from Bayern Munich in a move worth €20million.

Barca won La Liga and the Copa del Rey last season and are hoping to end Real Madrid's dominance of the Champions League, in which they lost to Roma in the quarterfinals last season.

'I don't have accounts to settle with anybody, just my objective, which is to win the Champions League, not settle scores with Real Madrid, ' said Vidal.

"I hope it's three Champions League titles in the three years I have a contract".

Nearly as soon as he arrived in Barcelona, Arturo Vidal assured the media that he is "100% fit and in flawless physical shape to be a starter in Valverde's team". To have arrived at Barcelona is a bigger step than that of Bayern Munich. "Hopefully I can win three".

And I want to see them win the title, but I fear it's going to be very hard for that to happen this season. Jonny Evans, James Maddison and Nampalys Mendy are all doubts for the opening fixture.

"I have to be up to the task, because these are the best players in the world".

Barça vice-president Jordi Mestre said of the former Colo-Colo, Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus midfielder: "He's a player with bags of experience, and will bring a lot to the side in terms of the quality he's got".

'I hope to win three Champions Leagues in the three years I will be here'. It is a dream. I am here to win all the trophies available and I will give everything on the pitch to achieve this.

"I am excited to play with [Lionel] Messi, [Luis] Suarez, Sergio Busquets", he noted. "He is happy here and wants to win titles".

Vidal is the Barcelona's fourth signing since the end of the last season following the arrival of Brazilian forward Malcolm, Brazilian midfielder Arthur and French defender Clement Lenglet.
