The company plans to invest up to $825 million as part of its "More Roads to Harley-Davidson" strategy, which it said could generate more than $1 billion in annual revenue in 2022 compared to 2017. "Most other companies are coming in our direction, including Harley competitors". A really bad move! "USA will soon have a level playing field, or better", Mr. Trump said in a Twitter post.

Erdogan says US set deadline for pastor's release
Turkey's trade ministry said the tariffs were against World Trade Organisation rules. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi on Saturday criticized U.S.

Wall Street Journal editorial page assistant editor James Freeman and Washington Examiner commentary writer Emily Jashinsky on Harley-Davidson's decision to move some of its production outside the U.S.

In response, Trump has criticized Harley Davidson, calling for higher, targeted taxes and threatening to lure foreign producers to the United States to increase competition.

Trump's comments come one day after he visited a "Bikers for Trump" rally in Bedminster, N.J., where many appeared to endorse the president's recent tough talk against Harley-Davidson.

This not only makes him "the first openly protectionist president since Hoover", but also demonstrates that the POTUS thinks about trade in zero-sum terms, without looking at the broader picture of what is considered to be the national economic impact of trade.

"I guarantee you, everybody who ever bought a Harley-Davidson voted for Trump", Trump said in an interview with Fox News. Considering Donald Trump is, evidently refusing to back down, that may no longer be an option.
