  • Pearl Jam poster from Missoula show ignites online controversy

Earlier this year, Ament - who referenced "Russian money, golf courses and hookers" in his description of the poster - admitted he was keen to use the Montana concert to boost the Democrat campaign.

For donations between $200 and $500, supporters got tickets to the show as well as a chance to attend a reception the night before with Tester and Jeff Ament, the band's bassist and a longtime friend of the senator.

Pearl Jam have found themselves in a bit of hot water for their latest move - a gig poster depicting the rotting corpse of Donald Trump being eaten by a bald eagle in front of a burning White House.

The president has not yet commented on the Pearl Jam poster, which was created to promote a Rock2Vote concert aimed at encouraging young people to vote against the Republicans in the November midterm elections.

It is speculated in an article from the Washington Examiner that the graphic depiction could have a negative effect on Montana's democratic candidate Tester. Check out the poster below.

Taliban kills 17 Afghan soldiers after overrunning base
A spokesman for the Taliban insurgents immediately denied any connection to the bombing, and no other group claimed it. Hundreds of people have fled the fighting in Ghazni, which has killed about 100 members of the Afghan security forces.

What do you think of the poster? Jon Tester (D), who is running for re-election against Republican challenger Matt Rosendale.

The National Republican Senate Committee compared the artwork to an infamous photo of American comedian Kathy Griffin holding a fake decapitated head of the United States president, which cost her a contract with CNN and led to several of her shows being cancelled.

Rosendale called the poster "disgusting and reprehensible", according to the AP, and called on Tester to "denounce this act of violence and blatant display of extremism".

"In a state Trump won by 20 points, Senator Tester's silence.is quickly showing Montanans there's no stoop too low for him when it comes to attacking President Trump and his supporters", Calvin Moore, a spokesman for the National Republican Senate Committee, said in a statement Wednesday, two days after the concert. "Maryland Matt. Stars n stripes as flames", read Ament's notes.
