Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, stand for the National anthem during a gala concert in support of charities for military veterans who face mental health challenges, in London September 6, 2018.

Meghan Markle made secret visits to cook with victims of a horrifying fire as part of her first solo project as a member of the Royal Family, and she's helping release a charity cookbook with the women's recipes.

In the introduction, the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen write: "Our kitchen has always been a place of good food, love, support and friendship".

The communal kitchen, founded in the aftermath of the Grenfell fire, allows women without their own cooking facilities to prepare fresh food for their families, friends and neighbours.

The community will need to sell about 50,000 copies of the cookbook to keep the kitchen open seven days a week.

After a long anticipation, the Kensington Palace announced Meghan Markle's first charitable endeavour, which is going to be a community cookbook.

She writes, "I immediately felt connected to this community kitchen; it is a place for women to laugh, grieve, cry and cook together. The next minute I realized there was an apron put on her, and she was washing rice!" "Soon there were women from different cultures all cooking, swapping recipes, talking and laughing together".

After Kensington Palace revealed Monday that the former "Suits" actress had been secretly visiting and working on a cookbook with a group of women who were affected by the disastrous 2017 Grenfell Tower fire, the tennis great publicly gushed about Markle's work. She advises arriving on an empty stomach, because afterward, "You will have been stuffed to the gills with samosas flecked with cinnamon, chapatis flavored with carrots and onion, Russian Semolina cake, Persian teas and my very favorite avocado dip that I now make at home". "It's attractive - diversity, inclusivity, coming together in grief or joy".

She championed the cookbook project as a way of ensuring the kitchen could operate more regularly, and it is hoped that profits from the sales will help keep the kitchen open up to seven days a week after 72 people were killed in the Grenfell Tower tragedy in June a year ago.
