Hawking: "there is no God and no life after death"

  • There is no God,’ says Stephen Hawking in final book

More than six months after Hawking passed away at the age of 76, his family have pulled together what they believe to be some of the scientist's most compelling answers to mysteries of the universe.

Further explaining in his book, Hawking mentions that other than leaving Earth, humans have no other option to avoid being "annihilated".

The late globally renowned physicist Stephen Hawking makes a few bold declarations in his new posthumously released book, one stating that there is no God. After the scientist's death his book was not finished and had to be terminated by colleagues and family members who were connected with his personal Affairs.

Stephen Hawking's posthumous book, "Brief Answers to the Big Questions" has just come out.

British theoretical physicist professor Stephen Hawking gives a lecture during the Starmus Festival on the Spanish Canary Island of Tenerife on September 23, 2014.

"There are forms of intelligent life out there..."

Hawking was regularly asked a particular set of questions and this book is an attempt to compile the most authentic, clearest, and definitive answers that he ever gave.

And he leaves open the possibility of other phenomena. He also predicts that "within the next hundred years we will be able to travel to anywhere in the Solar System".

Facebook hires former deputy PM Sir Nick Clegg
Mr Clegg, 51, will move to Silicon Valley in January as part of the move, the Financial Times reported. In a surprise defeat a year ago , Clegg lost his seat in parliament in the U.K.'s general election.

"Travel back in time can't be ruled out according to our present understanding", he says.

His daughter Lucy says communication was so important to Hawking in his lifetime and we see this book as part of his legacy, bringing together his thoughts, humour, theories and writing into one attractive edition.

"With Brexit and Trump now exerting new forces in relation to immigration and the development of education, we are witnessing a global revolt against experts, and that includes scientists", Hawking said.

And he raised a very good question: "How good is the track record of the human race in using advances in technology for the good of ordinary people?"

According to his daughter, Hawking believed that "We seem to have lost the ability to look outward, and we are increasingly looking inward to ourselves", a harsh indictment from a man who spent decades in a wheelchair unable to speak, and a warning worth heeding.

As for the future, he advises his young readers in the last Chapter of book: "don't forget to look at the stars and not on your feet".

"No one created the universe and no one directs our fate", Professor Hawking revealed.
