  • Jaguars acquire RB Hyde from Browns in trade for draft pick

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Cleveland Browns are trading starting running back Carlos Hyde to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In light of Leonard Fournette's continuous hamstring injury, the Jacksonville Jaguars have utilized the trade market.

Johnson will return to his role of 2017, when he topped 1,000 yards rushing and receiving and led the Browns in touchdowns.

Hyde signed with the Browns in March, agreeing to a three-year, $15.25 million contract with $7 million guaranteed.

Browns general manager John Dorsey continues to revamp the team's roster and add picks.

The NFL trading deadline is October 30. The Jags are dealing with injury issues at running back while the Browns have a glut of young talent in their backfield they want coming to the fore. He's had just 19 carries this season.

Chubb's average carry of 10.8 yards reflects his big-play potential. The talented former 49'er will get more looks in Jacksonville. That's something everyone from Johnson to offensive coordinator Todd Haley to my 69-year-old Browns fan mother in Vermilion has been clamoring for all season. Rookie running back Nick Chubb will get the bulk of the carries now that Hyde has been removed from the equation. "As these games get a little closer, they do not get too far away and we can get up whatever that is, we do need to give Nick Chubb more carries".
