Pacquiao made the announcement during a charity event to introduce him as the new ambassador for International Sports Promotion Society Handa at Makati Shangri-La.

"Not yet. I still have a fight in January", said Pacquiao (60-7-2 record with 39 knockouts).

"Floyd is fighting in December 31 and after that and my fight, we'll see what happens", said Pacquiao, who turns 40 on December 27 and will be armed with a 60-7-2 mark with 39 KOs by the time he answers the bell against the Cincinnati-bred and flamboyant Broner, victor of six of his last nine fights and three of his last five. However, a source with knowledge of the deal told ESPN the fight would be January 19, not January 12, though a fight likely wouldn't be formalized until he settled his tax issues with the USA government. About two weeks ago, Pacquiao signed with Premier Boxing Champions founder Al Haymon to become his adviser.

The reports stemmed from a confrontation between Pacquiao and Mayweather that took place in Tokyo.

Mayweather, 41, said in September he would come out of retirement to face Pacquiao later this year in a rematch of their 2015 superfight that earned both men millions. "Basta laban lang tayo".
