Nintendo Switch's first pair of Pokemon RPGs, Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee, may be geared toward newer and younger players, but that doesn't mean they'll be devoid of challenge, especially once you've become the Pokemon League Champion. Each trainer is a master of a different species of Pokemon, and they'll challenge players to a special one on one battle to prove whose Pokemon is best. While some Master Trainer battles will probably be pretty tame - we have a hard time imagining that a battle between two Weedle will be one of the history books - there's bound to be at least a few tough battles as you encounter the Master Trainers for powerful Pokemon like Dragonite and Mewtwo.
While the battles won't be easy, defeating a Master Trainer will earn you their title, and NPCs in the game will then refer to you by that title. If nothing else, it sounds like Master Trainers will help pad out the post-game content in Pokemon Let's Go, which is always a topic of interest among Pokemon fans. That's right-there's a Master Trainer for every Pokemon in the Kanto region! These Masters will be found around the region and will be signaled by an icon of the Pokémon they represent appearing over their head. Make sure to watch to the end, as the video is capped off with a humorous nod to the greatest battle ever depicted in the Pokemon anime series.
