  • Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to go head to head in custody battle

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are taking their fight for custody of their children to court. The court date comes months after the pair agreed to a temporary arrangement that awarded Pitt more time with his kids.

After first separating from her husband on September 15, 2016, the Oscar victor filed for divorce from on September 19, citing irreconcilable differences.

It is expected the courtroom will be sealed off to anyone other than the parties involved because of the involvement of minors. But it seems that things between the couple can apparently become worse. The judge outlined specific steps Jolie had to take to aid Pitt's access to and relationship with the children, including a detailed summer visitation schedule, and easy phone access between Pitt and each of the kids, without monitoring or interference from their mom. Her lawyer told the Associated Press that Jolie had made the decision in the interests of the family. She sought physical custody of the children.

And whilst it was also reported that problems were set to arise as Angelina seeks full custody and Brad aims for a 50/50 split, the source insists that isn't the case. In fact, Angelina Jolie's camp accused Brad Pitt of not providing "meaningful" child support. Because of that, they were also unable to decide on a custody agreement, so the custody issue has been split off from the divorce proceedings and is being decided separately. Both sides have been clear about wanting to prioritize the health and happiness of their children no matter what.
