  • New Far Cry Game Teased For The Game Awards

That would make it the first Far Cry game in a long while to continue the story of the previous one, but whether it'd be called Far Cry 5-2, or something similar, remains to be seen. Obviously, some of our favorite developers will get recognition for the hard work they've put into this year's best games, but TGA also acts as a mini-E3 in some respects. We'll know plenty more when this next apparent spinoff is shown again at The Game Awards.

The teaser begins with a nuclear explosion over a track of farm land, echoing the ending of Far Cry 5 when the cult leader Joseph Seed was proven right after all.

Obviously, the teaser doesn't reveal much, and it is just that: a tease for the main announcement at TGA. However, there are a few tidbits of information we can pick out from the video to better understand what Ubisoft is planning. Is Far Cry going down a Fallout route for its next outing then?

Denton County Public Health encourages residents to get flu shots
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone ages six months and older receive a flu vaccine each year. Willbrandt says the flu starts with a rapid onset of fever, along with a runny nose, watery eyes, and body aches.

It's being speculated based on the visual effects as well as thumbnail above that this game would be set in a post apocalyptic Hope County.

At the end of the clip we see a character lifting some sort of makeshift buzzsaw-crossbow combination. With Ubisoft already releasing series spin-offs like Primal and Blood Dragon, it's fair to assume that this mysterious new title will be more in line with one of those.
