Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp complained about Burnley's tackling during the 3-1 Premier League win at Anfield.

The 21-year-old England global was taken off after 23 minutes following a challenge with Clarets captain Ben Mee.

Klopp was unhappy with some of Burnley's slide tackles in Liverpool's victory at Turf Moor, one which resulted in Joe Gomez suffering a fracture to his lower left leg that will sideline him for around six weeks.

Jurgen Klopp claimed that Burnley's players needed to take more care with their challenges - despite admitting that they were not fouls. You get the ball, nice, but it's like bowling.

"He got a knock last week and got a concussion and is still not able to play, like Clyney, who has been out for two weeks already".

"I was a little confused".

Klopp sat down for his obligatory press conference in good spirits on Friday afternoon, touching on a number of topics.

'Obviously I'm gutted to have picked up the injury, but thankfully it's not too serious and one that I can definitely be back strong from soon.

Klopp crticised the match referee Stuart Atwell, saying: "'I said to the referee after the first sliding tackle (made) over six or seven yards, when he got the ball and everyone liked it: "'Please, tell them they can not do that'".

"It's amusing, he didn't reference Daniel Sturridge's cheating", Dyche said a news conference on Thursday. I imagine a player who seems to be an honest player, in Gomez, realised that.

"We send him our best if any injury has occurred but it wasn't from a bad tackle".
