  • Google Assistant will finally field requests in Maps

Google have had their Google Assistant interpreter on select products such as the Pixel Buds but in the next few weeks Interpreter Mode will be rolled out to Google Home devices and Smart Displays.

Google stated the feature will arrive on Google Home devices "over the next few weeks".

Google built a sprawling amusement park-style ride to demonstrate how its AI Assistant can be used in the home and on the go to make daily tasks easier.

Google Assistant can now help you check-in to your flight, and save and retrieve your boarding pass.

In the surprisingly smooth demonstration, a Dailymail.com reporter speaking English was able to carry out a conversation with Google's Italian-speaking exhibitor without any hiccups. Google says Interpreter Mode will work on normal Google Home speakers as well, but without the added benefit of a written translation. Google are TODAY starting to roll out new functionality while navigating in Google Maps.
