Like most electric cars, we're told the new Lagonda concept goes big on all the benefits EV powertrains bring; so expect an suprisingly expansive interior and a very unconventional exterior design.

Shares of Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings PLC (LON:AML) hit a new 52-week low during trading on Friday. It will be the first to carry the Lagonda brand name that has been revived by Aston Martin and is dubbed as world's first luxury zero emission brand.

This is the same facility where the upcoming Aston Martin DBX SUV will be manufactured. The Aston Martin spin-off won't be showcasing anything quite as future-focused as last year's Vision Concept, however - the vehicle on display will be providing a "first glimpse" of the brand's first production auto. But the Aston Martin Lagonda Vision concept that debuted at last year's Geneva show featured a set of electric motors and solid-state batteries for a range of 400 miles on a charge. Like the original Lagonda, it was an angular affair, dividing opinion but never relenting when it came to luxury or, indeed, power. The auto, of course, will also come with the carmaker's new fully-electric powertrain technologies. That reviewed a possible all-electric fastback sedan, billed as a "near future study" of how modern luxury might distinguish itself in the age of EVs.

Next month the automaker will take the wraps off the Lagonda All-Terrain Concept, an electric SUV. Beyond that, what the All-Terrain concept looks like is anyone's guess. The Lagonda All-Terrain Concept, however, will have its market debut in 2021, even before the Vision Concept sedan. That vehicle utilized solid-state batteries, a 640km range, and wireless conductive charging.

Aston Martin will put the Lagonda All-Terrain into production first, rather than the Vision Concept that took centre stage past year.
