Ask Democrats Whether or Not They Hate Jews

"They've become an anti-Jewish party, and that's too bad".

Axios reported Sunday that Trump made several eyebrow-raising comments during a speech Friday to Republican National Committee donors at Mar-a-Lago, his golf club and resort in Palm Beach, Florida. Omar was not singled out by name. During the now-infamous moment, Acosta refused to pass the microphone to a female White House aide.

Reminded that Trump himself had not called out King by name - instead he repeatedly claimed not to be following the matter - Sanders said she spoke for the President.

In answering a similar question, Sanders noted that reporters should be asking the Democrats themselves on why they have refused to speak out.

Last year, Acosta was briefly banned from the White House after he engaged in a contentious back-and-forth with Trump during a November 7 press conference.

Pelosi says Trump 'just not worth' impeaching
She could say instead that many of Trump's actions are indeed impeachable, but that actual process isn't feasible right now. Billionaire Tom Steyer, who's been running TV ads calling for Trump to be impeached , blasted Pelosi for her comments.

Sanders was referencing Omar's comments when, talking in a panel about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, she said she wanted to "talk about the political influence in this country that says it is okay to push for allegiance to a foreign country". "It shouldn't be put in a watered-down resolution", Sanders said.

"He'll make a decision on that when he's ready", Sanders said during a press briefing. "We stripped him of his committee memberships and we'd like to see Democrats follow suit".

Trying to explain why the resolution was amended from its original version that only condemned anti-Semitism, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said on March 7 that a new version of the resolution was expanded to "speak out against anti-Semitism, anti-Islamophobia, anti-white supremacy and all the forms that it takes".

Sanders on Monday unfavorably compared Democrats' response to that of Republicans following comments made by Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, in January that were sympathetic to white nationalism. "The president has been clear on what his position is, certainly what his support is for the people and the community of Israel". According to a Pew analysis of the current congressional class, only two Republican members of the House are Jewish, while more than half of Democrats' non-Christian members are Jewish.
